Really pleased to hear from my boss and her husband that the badger count last weekend was four each night!

Is really happy that some guests are already booking their 2013 holiday with us!

We disturbed two Roe deer at the back of the Lodge as we pulled car up. What a great start to the weekend. We’ve seen them a few times since then. And of course the badgers came down to supper first night. Three of them, and they didn’t even wait until dusk. Got piccies. Bird feeder very busy and spotted a couple of buzzards – in sky of course! And it’s only Saturday morning. Love it here!

Those faithful seven badgers turned up on time for supper both nights. I knew they wouldn’t let us down – bless ‘em. Rob took the pictures this time so we have to wait until he fathoms out his new camera to upload them. A cheeky squirrel made a good job of pinching nuts from the bird feeder, and all in all it was a fantastic short break in our favourite lodge

Wildlife!
Really pleased to hear from the Allan Family that the badgers are back! Also three young deer seen very close to the lodge through the dining room window!
Carol also reports some hare sitings on the grassy bank behind the lodge.
All this is great to know. We appreciate photos and feedback from guests. Please continue (future guests) to feed the wildlife, especially the birds and badgers , the latter love dog biscuits and left overs (no bones)
